We will start by sending an email and a text message update to notify you that we have recieved your items.
Our technician will then inspect the items to identify which screens are OEM (original), Non-OEM (refurbished) and Third-Party “Copy” displays. Any “Copy” screens are put aside and cannot be accepted.
All other screens are then further tested to determine if they meet our requirements. We will send out a report with out findings along with the total purchase price to the customer to confirm that they’re happy to accept what we’re offering. Where requested, we can provide a video recording of the test.
It may sometimes be the case where the customer may experience dissapointment at a higher then expected number of rejected screens resulting in a lower then expected offer. This is never our aim and its in both our interest for as many screens to pass the grading process. For this reason, we have created this article so our customers know exactly what we look for.
Please note that we only accept OEM (original) and non-OEM (refurbished) screens, and we Cannot Accept Third-Party “Copy” displays. If you’re unsure about the differences or how to distinguish between them, please refer to our Blog Article on The differences between OEM, non-OEM, and copy screens.
We accept screens with broken glass, but we require the underlying digitizer and the display itself to be in working order. The screen must have no defects, dead pixels, dark patches or flickering.
When sending screens to us for recycling, it’s important to be aware of the condition of the screens we can accept, as well as those we cannot. Please refer to our criteria and process for accepting, grading, and rejecting screens
Before sending in your screens, you must complete and submit the recycling form. You will then recieve an email confirmation with and order number which should be printed and included in the package your sending.
We will offer payment for all screens that meet the requirements (this can be via PayPal or Bank Transfer) at the rate quoted at the time. Any screens diagnosed as not working will either be returned to you or disposed of according to your preference.
We accept housings as part of screen or motherboard submission however we do not pay any extra due to time involved in removing the recyclable items. The price paid will be for the accepted screen or motherboard submission. We encourage you to seperate the screen/motherboard prior to sending.
